Orange presented the BOX2M and CBNAgro.tech solutions at Microsoft Business Summit 2018

Microsoft Business Summit took place on November 6th, in Bucharest. With this occasion, Orange presented the solutions developed by BOX2M And CBNAgro.tech, startups part of the Orange Fab program.

At the event, Orange announced the national launch of the LTE-M network - low-power technology, 3GPP licenced, capable of connecting devices and sensors directly to the 4G network. The LTE-M network is now available in 3137 localities in Romania.

Through the partnership developed via Orange Fab, BOX2M had early access to the LTE-M technology and has already implemented solutions based on it in their electrical energy management product in Alba-Iulia and Constanta.

BOX2M develops an IoT eco-system with strong focus on energy sector, but also usable for utilities, telecom and infrastructure security verticals generating significant benefits for customers, such as energy churn decreased by up to 10%, but also reduced OPEX and CAPEX by smart and innovative design.
