Each year Orange Fab is excited to be part of the largest cybersecurity event in Bucharest - DefCamp. Being the premier cybersecurity conference in Central and Eastern Europe, DefCamp features not just keynotes from the researchers and industry experts from all over the world, but also hosts an extensive Hacking Village, a kind of a playground with hands-on challenges and competitions that attracts hundreds of students and cybersecurity enthusiasts.
Just like in previous edition, this year’s conference took place at the Palace of the Parlament, so attendees could dive into the latest in cybersecurity while enjoying the beauty of one of Romania's historical venues.
How did it go
And, of course, the essential part of any DefCamp, the Hacking Village, this year also gave people a chance to try things out themselves. Participants could test their skills in different security challenges, "from lockpicking to hardware fun, bug bounty challenges, reverse engineering puzzles" and much more.

Orange is proud to support and participate in this massive conference. This edition Orange presentation was awaited more than ever, taking into account this year cyberattack. Our Cyber Security Expert, Ioan Constantin, during his keynote "Access Denied (eventually)" addressed the topic directly, clarifying what happened, what didn't happen, what was good, what was bad and what we can learn from it.
