Applications open for the Romanian Cyber Security National Team 2020!

Orange is proud to be supporting the Romanian national cyber security team for the 6th year in a row. The team won the European Championship title last year, led by the official team coach Ioan Constantin (Cyber Security Expert at Orange).

All the young cyber security enthusiasts, up to 25 years old, can sign up until May 8th, on cybersecuritychallenge.ro. The first step of the preselection of the candidates that will represent Romania at the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) will take place online on 9-10 May, 2020. The candidates will receive tasks from various domains such as: web and mobile security, cryptography, reverse engineering and forensics.

To encourage talented and passionate IT&C enthusiasts, many European states organize national competitions that give these youngsters the opportunity to join specialist teams working to ensure cyber security.

The European Cyber Security Challenge is initiated by ENISA (European Union Agency for Network and Information Security) and brings these chances to a European level. This year, the ECSC finale will take place in Vienna on 4-5 November.


The Romanian National Cyber Security Team is supported by ANSSI, CERT-RO, CyberInt National Center, Orange, BIT Sentinel and CertSign.

In 2016 and 2017 team Romania became the vice-champion and in 2019 they won the European Cyber Security Championship.
