4 new startups join the Orange Fab program

We're happy to announce four new collaborations in the Orange Fab acceleration program with startups in areas like 5G and networks of the future, cyber security, connected objects and smart retail.

Through Orange Fab, the startups get support for pilot projects implementation for Orange customers or internal departments. For each startup's specific needs, teams can have access to technologies and equipment, technical and business mentoring to refine their products and workspace or meeting rooms in 6 of the most important technology hubs in the country, through Hub Pass. After the successful implementation of pilot projects, the Orange Fab startups can get access to the national and international distribution network of Orange and Orange Business Services.

3 years after the launch in Romania, Orange Fab reaches a number of 25 startup collaborations, after accepting the 4 new companies:

Correct Networks - Packet Cloud, the product developed by Correct Networks, is a lightweight and secure virtualization platform for the next 5G clouds and edge servers.

Rungutan - Rungutan is the first API Load Testing SaaS Platform, 100% serverless, API driven, that saves up to 80% of the normal Load Testing time for websites and mobile apps.

OGOR - Using Copernicus Earth Observation Data, OGOR provides a complex toolkit for farmers, built on three pillars: a live journal of satellite observations, , a community & collaboration center and a guiding roadmap of the agricultural activities.

Wisevoice - Human level voice services and automation, designed to help companies interact better with their clients, partners or employees by automating voice services and decreasing cost.

“Orange Fab is itself a startup-like project. As we work more and more with the teams, we are constantly refining the approach we have with each startup, the specific domains we target and the benefits in the program. We knew from the beginning that it will be a long term learning and adapting effort and we're starting to see very encouraging results.

We already have a few remarkable success stories. The product developed by Nestor is now being implemented across the whole Orange Romania organization, to support performance evaluation and improvement for the company's employees. SecurifAI have installed their AI video surveillance product at Câmpia Turzii, in a complex project managed by our colleagues in Orange Business Services. Also, uRADMonitor, Orange Fab startup since 2017, has implemented this year, over the Orange LoRaWAN network, an air quality monitoring system in Iași, following other similar common projects in Alba Iulia, Timișoara, Cluj-Napoca și București. These are only a few examples of significant results reached after working with startups for the past 3 years in the program.” - Monica Obogeanu, Startup Programs Manager, Orange Romania.
